Jet Drone Race: Russia Hits 600 km/h, Ukraine Preps for 900
Russia's jet-powered drones are getting faster. Ukraine is now building training simulators for the next generation it expects to face. When a Russian jet drone and the drone chasing it fly at the same speed, the pilot can barely tell them apart. That is the problem Ukraine is racing to solve. Russia's current jet drones reach about 600 km/h. Ukraine expects the next models to hit 900 km/h. At those speeds, interception becomes far harder. To prepare, Ukraine is building simulators that copy the flight behavior of these faster drones. The goal is simple: train pilots to spot and stop them before they strike.
