Manchester to Host G20 Summit in 2027, UK Confirms

The UK government has confirmed that Manchester will host the Group of 20 (G20) summit in 2027. The G20 is a forum of the world's largest economies.
Prime Minister Andy Burnham will announce the decision during his first trip to the United Nations General Assembly in New York. Burnham previously served as mayor of Manchester for nearly a decade.
The summit will bring leaders of the world's biggest economies to the city in northwest England.
