The ruling AK Party’s deputy group chair, Abdülhamit Gül, said on Tuesday that a new framework law will benefit groups including the “Diyarbakır Mothers,” “Saturday Mothers,” and “peace mothers.”
Speaking in the Turkish Parliament’s General Assembly, Gül said: “The Diyarbakır Mothers, the Saturday Mothers, the peace mothers will win.”
His remarks were made during a debate on the proposed framework legislation, which he described as a model of “Ankara consensus.” Gül did not provide further details on the law’s specific provisions in his statement.
