At least 16 people have been killed in Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon, according to the country’s civil defense agency. The strikes hit the Nabatieh area, news agency AFP reported.
Earlier on Saturday, reports said at least five people were killed in a separate attack on the town of Arabsalim, also in southern Lebanon.
The attacks come despite a ceasefire agreement reached between Israel and Hezbollah on Friday. The Israeli military (IDF) has confirmed the truce.
Even on Friday, before the ceasefire took effect, Israeli strikes killed at least 47 people in Lebanon, according to local health authorities.
