Lebanon reported 18 people killed on Friday in Israeli air strikes in the south. Israel’s military said the attacks also killed its first soldiers in Lebanon since the United States and Iran agreed to halt the Middle East war.
Israel said it was striking Hezbollah targets overnight and into the morning. The Iran-backed militant group said it was attacking Israeli forces near the southern town of Nabatieh.
