Paraglider Plummets 500 Feet, Walks Away Unhurt

A paraglider in Florida survived a fall from approximately 500 feet into the Atlantic Ocean on Saturday. The dramatic incident occurred near Singer Island.
Witnesses reported the paraglider descending rapidly before hitting the water. On-duty lifeguards and several beachgoers immediately launched a rescue operation.
They successfully pulled the man from the ocean. Remarkably, he was evaluated and found to have no serious injuries.
The cause of the sudden descent is under investigation. Authorities have not released the name of the paraglider.
