A former White House advisor has warned that Donald Trump appears to have no strategy for what comes after capturing Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.
Laura Schwartz, who served in the Trump administration, stated the former U.S. president lacks an "exit plan" following such an operation. The capture would also target Maduro's wife, Cilia Flores.
Schwartz did not provide details on how or when this might occur. Her comments highlight potential concerns about the aftermath of a major geopolitical action.
The warning comes as Trump campaigns to return to the White House. Venezuela has been in a political and economic crisis for years under Maduro's leadership.
