Hong Kong has issued an amber travel alert for France after weeks of protests over school conditions spread nationwide, leading to clashes and damage in major cities.
The amber alert is the lowest of three levels in the Security Bureau's outbound travel alert system. It advises residents traveling to France to exercise caution due to signs of a threat to personal safety.
"Due to persistent protests across many places in France, which have resulted in clashes and damage," the bureau said in its statement, urging travelers to stay vigilant.
