Hong Kong’s new Huanggang Port sees 79,500 travellers, 8,000 vehicles on day one
Hong Kong’s rebuilt Huanggang Port handled 79,500 passengers and 8,000 vehicles on its first day of operations Monday. The Shenzhen General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection reported 41,300 people entered Hong Kong through the checkpoint and 38,200 left the city. The figures count total border crossings, not individual travellers. Transport officials expect heavier traffic over the coming holiday weekend.
