Ukraine builds its own drones to beat China’s Mavic on the battlefield

Ukrainian company Vyriy Industries has developed a homegrown alternative to Chinese commercial quadcopters, the company said. The drone is designed for reconnaissance on the modern battlefield, where cheap Chinese models like the Mavic have become a staple for both sides of the war. By building locally, Ukraine aims to reduce its reliance on foreign suppliers and adapt its equipment to combat needs.
