Just one month after Saudi Arabia signed a mutual defense agreement with Pakistan and Turkey, Houthi attacks from Yemen are putting the pact to the test. The strikes have targeted Saudi energy infrastructure and military sites.
On Friday, military leaders from the three nations met in Riyadh for an urgent meeting of the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement. According to the Saudi Press Agency, they reaffirmed their commitment to collective defense.
The talks centered on intelligence cooperation and joint response measures, the agency reported.
