Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with his counterparts from Venezuela, El Salvador, and Guinea-Bissau in New York. The meetings took place on the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly.
Fidan and El Salvador's foreign minister signed an agreement to avoid double taxation. Such deals prevent the same income from being taxed by two countries.
The talks signal Turkey's push to deepen ties with Latin American and African nations.
