Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told the United Nations on Wednesday that strikes on Russian territory are necessary "not to die."
Speaking at the UN General Assembly, Zelensky ruled out any pause on attacks targeting energy infrastructure. Moscow has rejected such a moratorium as well.
Zelensky said winter "could be very harsh." Still, he called for steps to lower tensions.
