Russia strikes Kyiv hours before Zelenskyy's UN speech

Russia launched drone strikes on Kyiv on Wednesday, hitting railway infrastructure, warehouses and fuel stations. The attack came just hours before Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was set to address the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The strikes targeted key civilian and transport sites in the Ukrainian capital. Emergency crews responded to fires across the city, including at a high-rise building.
Zelenskyy is expected to press world leaders for continued support at the UN gathering. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio is also set to meet with his Russian counterpart. However, diplomats expect few breakthroughs from the meetings.
