The US-backed Board of Peace has proposed a six-month, US$2.45 billion plan to begin reconstruction and governance in Gaza. The proposal comes as President Donald Trump's ceasefire plan struggles to hold.
At a board meeting, governors presented a blueprint of 66 projects. These include infrastructure, education, and health initiatives meant to support Trump's 20-point plan to end the conflict.
The board acknowledged major obstacles remain before the projects can move forward.
