Traffic through the Bab el-Mandeb strait has fallen sharply to about 26 vessels a day, according to new figures covering July and August.
This marks the second major decline in shipping through the strait since the outbreak of the Gaza war.
Bab el-Mandeb is a narrow waterway between the Horn of Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. It connects the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden and is a key route for global trade.
