Ukraine Splits Air Raid Alerts: Drones vs. Missiles

Ukraine has adopted a new two-tier air raid alert system to differentiate between drone attacks and the more severe threat of missile or combined strikes. The change comes as Russia’s mass drone assaults become a routine occurrence. Under the new framework, authorities can issue separate warnings. A standard alert will signal incoming drone activity, while a higher-level alert will be reserved for ballistic missiles or mixed attacks involving both weapons. For missile threats, stricter protocols, such as shutting down offices and moving to shelters, will take effect immediately.
