A new survey by UNICEF, the United Nations’ agency for children, suggests online sexual abuse of minors is increasing.
The agency questioned roughly 21,000 young people for the study.
According to the findings, one in five respondents reported being targeted by online sexual abuse.
UNICEF did not provide details on the types of abuse or the countries surveyed in the summary released.
The agency is calling for stronger action from governments and tech companies to protect children online.
