As the world marks World Peace Day on September 1, 2026, attention turns to the responsibilities of alliance members in supporting a stable future for Turkey.
The hope is that the ongoing process concludes as quickly as possible. Once it does, the central challenge in Turkey will shift from achieving peace to making that peace permanent.
This means the real work begins after the deal is done. The focus must move toward ensuring that stability endures, rather than simply celebrating its arrival.
