Ukraine has carried out one of its biggest drone strikes of the war, setting a warehouse ablaze near Moscow and killing at least six people, according to Russian officials.
Russia’s defence ministry said it shot down 1,478 Ukrainian drones in the past day – the highest number it has claimed in a single period. The attack marks a sharp escalation in the air war between the two countries.
In response, Russian forces struck 13 locations inside Ukraine, killing seven people. The overnight assault on a distribution centre near the Russian capital caused a large fire, though the full extent of the damage remains unclear.
Both sides continue to trade long-range strikes as the conflict enters a new phase of drone warfare.
