The UN migration agency (IOM) reports that worsening insecurity has displaced more than 5,000 people in Sudan’s West Darfur region. According to the agency, the majority of affected households have been forced to cross the border into neighboring Chad. The displacement highlights the deteriorating safety conditions in the area, as civilians flee violence in search of refuge.
