At least two primary processing units at Russia’s Omsk refinery caught fire while pipes were still under full pressure, according to monitoring channels that analyzed video footage. The blaze threatens a facility that processes roughly 10% of Russia’s total crude oil and supplies half of Siberia’s fuel. The incident removes a 2,500-kilometer buffer that previously protected the plant from direct attack.
