Japanese Minister Sanae Takaichi and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi are set to agree on a new partnership to support ammonia production. The deal aims to strengthen energy cooperation between the two nations.
Ammonia is a key chemical used in fertilizers. It is also gaining attention as a clean fuel for power plants and ships, as it does not emit carbon dioxide when burned.
The agreement will focus on sharing technology and investment to increase ammonia output. This move supports both countries' goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions while securing energy supplies.
Details of the plan are expected to be finalized during Takaichi’s visit to India.
