Donald Trump announced a peace agreement with Iran on Sunday, the same day the Iranian national football team played its first match on U.S. soil during the World Cup.
The deal is actually a preliminary agreement. Based on what is known so far, it represents a victory for Iran’s interests. If Israel does not sabotage the deal with new attacks on Lebanon, the first official document could be signed this Friday.
Trump hopes the agreement will send a message to global markets: lower fuel prices. According to the report, prices are already falling.
In a new podcast episode, Jesús Núñez, co-director of the Institute for the Study of Conflict and Humanitarian Action, analyzes the terms of the Washington-Tehran agreement and its possible consequences.
The episode is part of “Un tema Al día,” the daily news podcast from elDiario.es. The show won an Ondas Award for Best Revelation Podcast and has over 190,000 subscribers on platforms like Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
