A historic monastery in Kyiv is on fire following a Russian air attack late Sunday night, according to the city's mayor, Vitali Klitschko, as reported by Reuters. The Cave Monastery, known as the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, is a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Ukraine’s most important historical buildings. The full extent of the damage to the ancient structure is not yet known. The attack also injured five people and cut power to 140,000 residents, local authorities said. The strikes caused a fire in an apartment building and several car fires across the capital.
