Russian Missiles Hit Ancient Monastery, Kill Rescuers in Kharkiv
A major Russian missile attack struck Ukraine on Monday, killing rescue workers in Kharkiv and four people in the capital, Kyiv. The strikes set apartment buildings on fire and ignited a blaze at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, a centuries-old Orthodox monastery and one of the country's most important religious sites. Ukrainian officials, including Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, reported on Telegram that multiple districts were hit. Witnesses saw glowing debris fall onto the city as air defenses intercepted some projectiles.
