Ukraine suffered a massive Russian missile and drone attack early Monday morning, with waves of explosions rocking the capital, Kyiv. The assault killed at least five people across the country.
Among the targets hit was the Dormition Cathedral within the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, one of Ukraine’s most important religious sites. The historic monastery complex was set on fire. Residential buildings in the capital were also struck.
The attack involved a sustained wave of strikes, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict.
