Ukraine has built a new armored vehicle equipped with ten electronic-warfare modules that form a protective dome. The system is designed to destroy first-person-view (FPV) drones before they reach the vehicle.
FPV drones are small, fast, and remotely piloted aircraft that carry explosives. They have become a major threat on the battlefield. Russia uses them to attack Ukrainian vehicles and troops.
The Ukrainian vehicle’s dome of modules jams or disables the drones’ control signals. This stops the drones from completing their attack. The design targets two of Russia’s most dangerous battlefield threats: drone swarms and electronic attacks.
The new system is now part of Ukraine’s official military equipment. It represents a practical, low-cost defense against a growing danger.
