Ukraine has constructed 822 kilometers of underground road tunnels designed to shield military supplies and evacuation routes from drone attacks. Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov announced that in May alone, the State Special Transport Service rebuilt 115.5 kilometers of conventional road. Each kilometer of these tunnels allows for safer evacuations and faster delivery of supplies, reducing the risk of drone strikes on open roads. The project aims to protect critical logistics as drone warfare intensifies.
