The leaders of Ukraine and Russia have both expressed openness to talks. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he wants a direct meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss ending the war.
Putin, however, shows no sign of giving up his demands. Zelenskyy added that Ukraine will keep fighting for its "survival" unless a deal is reached. No date or location for a possible meeting has been announced.
