Climate justice advocates from around the world are gathering in Antalya, Turkey, this November to demand a bigger say in how global climate policy is shaped, with two major events running alongside the COP31 climate conference.

The Peoples' Climate Summit will take place from November 14 to 18, opening with a rally on November 14, the Global Day of Action [1]. In parallel, the Climate Justice Forum is scheduled for November 15 to 17 alongside COP31 [2].

Ahead of the forum, signatory associations issued a statement stressing the need for equal participation in climate discussions. "We want a direct voice and decision-making power in shaping and implementing policies," they declared [2].

The gatherings underline growing pressure from civil society for a more inclusive approach to climate governance, with activists insisting that communities affected by climate policy should help decide it.
