A UN committee has concluded its meetings in Damascus to plan for a future of greener and more connected transport. The gathering focused on the upcoming "Decade of Sustainable Transport" from 2026 to 2035.
The committee is part of the UN Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA). Delegates worked on strategies to strengthen transport links between Arab countries.
Syrian officials presented their own proposals during the sessions. The talks aim to create a more integrated and environmentally friendly transport network across the region.
