Iran's ambassador to Russia has strongly denied reports that Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was transferred to Moscow for medical treatment.
Ambassador Kazem Jalali dismissed the rumors as "a new psychological war" against Iran. He did not specify who he believed was behind the alleged campaign.
The reports, which circulated online, claimed the 85-year-old leader was flown to Russia for an urgent medical procedure. Iranian state media has not commented on Khamenei's health.
The supreme leader holds ultimate authority in Iran's political system. His health status is a closely guarded state secret.
