Magistrates across Namibia have stopped working. They began the strike after the government failed to provide approved housing and vehicle benefits.
The magistrates' legal representative stated the long delay has pushed judicial officers to "the wall." This means they feel they have no other options left.
The work stoppage creates a standoff between the judiciary and the government. It halts many legal proceedings in the country's lower courts.
