Israel's military announced the Rafah border crossing will open this Wednesday. The opening will allow limited movement of people in both directions.
The crossing is Gaza's main gateway to Egypt. It was closed at the start of recent hostilities between Israel and Iran. The body coordinating the move, known as COGAT, made the statement on Sunday.
Rafah had reopened in early February after being shut for most of the war. Its previous reopening provided some relief to Palestinians seeking medical care abroad.
The latest opening is described as limited. No further details on eligibility or duration were immediately provided.
