Hong Kong rescue teams are searching for an 87-year-old man with dementia who has been missing since Sunday. The search is focused on the Por Lo Shan area near Tuen Mun.
Leung Woon-yew was last seen having lunch with his family at Shan King Estate. Authorities believe equipping vulnerable individuals with tracking devices could prevent such incidents.
A doctor involved in the case stated that these devices, known as tracking devices, offer a simple safety measure. They can help families quickly locate a person who has wandered off.
Police and fire service teams continued their search on Tuesday. Mr. Leung is a resident of the nearby Tai Hing Estate.
