President Donald Trump says he has advised Kurdish forces not to join the fight against Iran. The U.S. and Israel are currently conducting strikes against Tehran.
Speaking to reporters on Air Force One Saturday, Trump explained his reasoning. "The war is complicated enough without having – getting the Kurds involved," he said.
"We’re very friendly with the Kurds, as you know," Trump added. "But we don’t want to make the war any more complex than it already is."
The president was returning to Florida after attending a memorial service for six U.S. soldiers killed in action.
