Former US President Donald Trump has stated that America's supply of medium and high-grade weapons is strong enough for wars to be fought indefinitely. He made the claim in a late-night social media post.
Trump wrote that US munition stockpiles have "never been higher or better." He added the country has a "virtually unlimited supply of these weapons," meaning that "wars can be fought 'forever'."
The post appeared to contradict remarks from another US official, Senator Marco Rubio. Rubio had suggested Israel planned to strike Iran first. Trump instead claimed, "If anything, I might have forced Israel’s hand."
Trump made the statements as he met with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
