Syrian security forces have arrested members of an alleged ISIS-affiliated group in northern Latakia. The operation targeted what officials describe as a dangerous cell in the al-Badrusiya area.
Brigadier General Abdulaziz Hilal al-Ahmad, the Internal Security Commander for Latakia, announced the arrests on Monday. He stated that the operation was a precision mission conducted by security units.
The general's statement identified the group as one of the most dangerous cells supporting ISIS ideology. The operation is part of ongoing efforts to dismantle militant networks in the region.
