North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has gifted new sniper rifles to his top officials. The presentation followed a major political meeting that celebrated his rule.
State media showed an image of his teenage daughter, Kim Ju Ae, firing a rifle at a shooting range. Her frequent public appearances are leading to widespread speculation that she is being prepared as a future leader.
Kim gave the rifles to senior party and military figures on Friday. He called the weapons a sign of his "absolute trust" in them.
