Uganda has signed new visa-free travel agreements with Egypt and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The country's Ministry of Internal Affairs announced the policy this week. The agreements remove visa requirements for Ugandan citizens traveling to both nations. Travelers from Egypt and the UAE will also be able to enter Uganda without a visa. Officials state the goal is to strengthen diplomatic ties and increase trade. Easier travel is expected to boost tourism and business exchanges. This move significantly expands travel access for Ugandans. The UAE, home to Dubai and Abu Dhabi, is a major global business and transit hub. Egypt is a key African partner and popular tourist destination. The ministry did not provide an exact start date for the new rules. It advised travelers to confirm entry requirements with airlines before any trip.
