US Airlines Halt Venezuela Flights Following Security Warning
Multiple international airlines have suspended flights to Venezuela. This follows a security warning from the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) concerning the country's airspace. The FAA advised pilots to exercise extreme caution when flying over Venezuela. It cited "worsening security" and "increased military activity" as the reasons for the alert. In response, at least six carriers have now indefinitely cancelled their services. According to the Airlines Association in Venezuela, these airlines are TAP, LATAM, Avianca, Iberia, Gol, and Caribbean. Separately, Turkish Airlines has suspended its flights until November 28. The association's president confirmed the cancellations but did not provide further details. The situation highlights growing international concern over the stability of Venezuela's airspace.
