Deadly Kyiv Strike as Russia Launches Major Air Attack

Russian forces launched a large wave of drones and missiles at Ukraine early Friday. The attack killed at least one man in the capital, Kyiv. It comes just days before the four-year anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion. The assault also followed recent U.S.-mediated talks aimed at ending the war. Ukrainian air defenses intercepted many of the incoming weapons. Falling debris from destroyed drones and missiles caused fires and damage in several districts of Kyiv. The war, which began on February 24, 2022, shows no sign of ending. International efforts to negotiate a ceasefire have so far failed to stop the fighting.
