An undocumented man is in custody after a drunk driving incident that left a motorcyclist injured in Florida.
The crash occurred in Polk County. Authorities report the driver hit the motorcyclist and then fled the scene. He was later located and arrested.
The suspect now faces multiple criminal charges, including driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has also filed a detainer request. This means federal agents seek to take him into custody for possible deportation after his local criminal case concludes.
The condition of the injured motorcyclist has not been released.
