A new initiative called "Aleppo Legacy" has launched to support women who produce traditional crafts. The project is part of the wider community campaign, "Aleppo the Best of All."
The program establishes a cultural and creative center for these craftswomen. It is located at the historic Khan al-Tahhan in Aleppo's Old City.
According to organizer Engineer Ani Markosyan, the initiative aims to preserve local heritage. She stated that the center will act as an incubator for women's craft production. The comments were made in an interview with the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).
