A 23-year-old man in China has won a "lying flat competition" by remaining on a mattress for over 33 hours. The event concluded in a shopping center in Baotou, Inner Mongolia.
A domestic mattress brand sponsored the contest. It began on the morning of November 15 and lasted for 33 hours and 35 minutes, as reported by the Xiaoxiang Morning Herald.
The competition's title uses the popular Chinese slang term "tang ping," or "lying flat." This phrase describes a lifestyle trend that rejects societal pressure for constant hard work. Instead, it embraces doing only what is necessary to get by.
