More than 130 students from Gaza are urgently seeking Canadian visas to accept university scholarships. These students have received full financial sponsorship from Canadian institutions but remain trapped due to unprocessed visa applications.
Some applications have been stalled for over 18 months. The ongoing delay has had tragic consequences; two of the waiting students have reportedly been killed.
The students and their sponsoring universities continue to plead with Canadian immigration officials to process their cases. They argue that every day of delay puts the remaining scholars at greater risk.
