A pet dog in China has been reunited with her owner three months after disappearing from a beach and turning up 1,500 kilometers away. The Labrador, named September, went missing on August 13 in the coastal city of Qingdao.
Her owner, a woman surnamed Gao, said the dog wandered off while playing in the garden. Gao later checked surveillance footage from a nearby beer festival. The video showed September walking away from the area.
Authorities found the dog in November in the city of Koria, located in the far-western Xinjiang region. How September completed the long cross-country journey remains unknown. The happy owner was able to bring her pet home after the identification was confirmed.
