Armed men have kidnapped 303 students and 12 teachers from a school in north-central Nigeria. The attack targeted St. Mary’s School, a Catholic institution in Niger state.
The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) confirmed the figure on Saturday. This number revises an earlier count of 215 students.
The adjustment followed a verification exercise and a final headcount. Most Rev. Bulus Dauwa Yohanna, chairman of CAN’s Niger state chapter, provided the updated information after visiting the school on Friday.
