New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani met with President Donald Trump at the White House. The 34-year-old leader described the discussion as "very productive."
Mamdani highlighted the two politicians' "shared admiration and love" for New York City. He and President Trump also share a personal connection, as both men originally come from the Queens borough.
Following the talks, President Trump pledged his support. "We're going to be helping him to make everybody's dream come true: having a strong and very safe New York," the President said.
